Here is what I do:

  • At least double the material cost for any piece
  • If it takes time – more than a minute or 2, I calculate $30 an hour into it as well.
  • If it requires an advance skill or expensive tools (like a kiln) then that has to be taken into consideration too.

It is good to have some higher priced items that may not sell as often because it will make your medium priced items sell better.

Human nature is to want the best, not want to spend that much, not want to look cheap and buy the least expensive, so settle for the medium priced one

Of course, the above has NOTHING to do with jump rings – you want the best AND you don’t settle for anything else!
