What Describes a Jump Ring

Being an engineer I’m going to describe this in mathematical terms.

A jump ring is described by me as having an inside diameter, a gauge, a material, and a wire type.

  • Inside Diameter – The size of the jump ring
  • Wire Gauge – The thickness of the wire
  • Material – Copper, Brass, Bronze, ect
  • Wire type – Round, Square, Twisted, ect

This picture demonstrates the effect different wire types can have on the actual size of a ring.
