Vintage Gold is found in a variety of findings and is a coating that contains both light and dark tones. Wire is all a single tone so the choice is between coordinating with the light tones or dark tones.

The only alternative to this is oxidizing rich low brass or solid bronze wire. After a dark tone is achieved, light tones can be created by hand rubbing and thereby removing some of the dark tones. A sealant can be applied to maintain the finish.
This is not a process that is feasible to create in bulk. Short sections that can fit into the oxidizing container (I use a glass pyrex measuring cup) can be managed.
