Featured Customer of the Week – Shaylynn Ann of Shealynn’s Faerie Shoppe

This week we are featuring Shaylynn Ann of Shealynn’s Faerie Shoppe! Shaylynn is a local artisan that we have worked with for many years who makes a wide and wonderful variety of handcrafted pieces, mostly focused around wire wrapping. We love her use of color and natural elements! Check out her story here:

“It all began with a “Lord of the Rings” costume…

When I was 13 years old, I wanted to be Arwen from The Lord of the Rings for Halloween. I couldn’t find any Elvish jewelry that I could afford, so my mom bought me some beads and wire to experiment with and make my own jewelry.

I loved it so much that I quickly used up all my supplies and bought some more with my own money. Soon I began selling pieces online so that I could afford more supplies to play with, and the rest, as they say, is history. I absolutely love designing custom jewelry for everyone who likes a bit of fairytale sparkle!

My dad partitioned off part of the garage into a studio for me, where I make everything by hand. During the school year, I work at my dorm room desk and fill my wardrobe with more art supplies than clothing!

While in college, I am running Shealynn’s Faerie Shoppe, an online store where I sell fairytale-inspired jewelry which I design and craft by hand.Shealynn’s Faerie Shoppe is also the name of my blog.
