This week we are featuring Deb of ScrappinCop! Deb makes jewelry that captures a little snippit of time in the form of a delicate flower, a tumble of shells, or an old coin. Check out her story and her creations!
“Hello and thank you for looking! My name is Deb and I have been a law enforcement officer for over 23 years in a medium sized community in Central Illinois, USA. My work as a police officer is rewarding and I still look forward to going to work every day at my “real” job.
I’ve always enjoyed crafting and graphic design and several years ago I started digital scrap booking. I started a blog where I offer free digital designs for scrap bookers and designers: scrappincop.com.
Last year I discovered Pinterest and a whole new world of crafting. I fell in love with the resin jewelry pieces and the process of making them. I originally opened my shop to sell my upcycled copper pipe bezels when I could not find any to purchase for my own jewelry pieces and thought there would be a market for them.
As my collection of jewelry pieces grew to be too large, I decided it was time to throw them in the shop to see if any would sell. To my great surprise, my first year on Etsy was what I would consider a success with just over 600 sales! I have the best customers and many cherished repeat customers. I am excited to create new pieces for you and am looking forward to a great year!”
